SnackBar is a very unique boutique (read tiny) “restaubar” located just a few steps from Rittenhouse Square. The setting is intimate yet comfortable. A retro-modern fireplace adorns the main wall while large windows look out onto 20th Street.
Specializing in small dishes using non-traditional ingredient pairings, SnackBar has already become a favorite of many locals with a penchant for extremely fresh and flavorful food.
With menu items like escargot skewers with butternut and walnuts; mackerel with fennel, lemon and apple cider; beef gyoza with black trumpets and mustard; grilled brussel sprouts and truffles; white beer-braised pork belly with a poached egg and charred-onion broth, whiting with parsley, saffron and potatoes, sweet corn and polenta with tallegio and oregano, wasabi encrusted apples with a miso caramel sauce, you can imagine just how rich and delicious the fare at SnackBar can be.
What’s great, though, is that the small plates are great for sharing with your dining companion. So go ahead and go wild — try as many items as you want.
The full bar has a good selection of premium wines and a very friendly staff eager to help you find an appropriate pairing.
